Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor is the spectacular Roadford Lake. This 730 acre lake, surrounded by rolling countryside, is a unique location for your special day. Its beautiful views and romantic woodland walks make Roadford a perfect choice for your wedding celebrations.

With its convenient location, just off the A30 between Okehampton and Launceston, ample parking and versatile reception room, Roadford offers a flexible approach to your day, whether you want a small, simple celebration or a large gathering with family and friends.

A day to remember

With an outdoor covered terrace, your guests can make the most of the stunning lake views. Children will love the outdoor play area, making it easy for families to relax and enjoy the day together.

Once the formal celebrations are over, you and your guests can take advantage of the space available including the terrace and grass amphitheatre, both with the lake as the backdrop. A short walk away is the striking 6m stainless steel sundial, created for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and now the perfect spot for that unique photo to remember your day by.

In the evening, dance to your disco, live band or tailor your night’s entertainment to suit you – our team can help with ideas and contacts.

The room

The space offers flexibility in terms of the format of your day and a blank canvas so that you can give the decoration and style your own individual touch.

Roadford Lake is part of South West Lakes; the region's largest combined environmental and recreational charity. The charity manages conservation of the environment and built heritage, sustainable recreation, education and public access on and around over 40 inland waters spread across Cornwall, Devon, West Somerset and Dorset.

The money you spend at Roadford Lake helps South West Lakes to deliver its valuable charitable work for the benefit of the general public.
