By joining us as a Single Local Friend, you will not only be supporting our work, but you will also enjoy year-round parking at one lake of your choice. Your donation will help us to continue looking after the lakes and the surrounding countryside, from maintaining footpaths, meadows and play areas that enable more young people to connect with nature, to supporting our Environment team to delivering vital environmental restoration and protection to our countryside habitats and wildlife.

Single Local Friends will receive:

• A parking pass for one vehicle at one lake of your choice for a year;
• The opportunity to sign-up to our monthly e-newsletter to receive regular updates about our work and give feedback.

The cost for an annual Single Local Friendship is £37.

Car parking is a really important source of fundraising for our charity. All income from our car parks contributes to the upkeep and enhancement of the lakes for our visitors and wildlife.

We use a combination of ticket machines and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology to manage our car parks. As a Friend, we will collect details about your car registration, so that you can park free-of-charge at your chosen lake for a year with one vehicle. 

Smart Parking operate the ANPR on behalf of South West Lakes Trust at Argal, Roadford, Siblyback and Tamar Lakes. 

As such if you choose one of these lakes, your name and car registration will be shared with Smart Parking, who will be operating the ANPR on our behalf. Smart Parking will hold your registration until the end of your friendship. After this date your details will be removed from the system and you will not be entitled to free parking.
